Madison and Rich – Elopement in Lisbon and Sintra

“Sometimes I just can’t believe how lucky I am”. Madison told me as we were walking out of the rented apartment in Bairro Alto area, Lisbon to go to Sintra for the elopement ceremony.

Those words were so heartfelt. I remember thinking to myself: “how do I get to be so lucky to witness all these love stories?”

Madison captivated us from the first email. I knew immediately from the way she communicated that we’d have so much fun documenting Madison’s and Rich’s elopement in Lisbon and Sintra.

This trip was Madison’s and Rich’s first trip ever to Portugal and they had no idea about the locations for the elopement.

She told us she’d love to have pictures in Lisbon, a ceremony in the woods and some pictures by the beach. We helped to make it happen.

We did a bit of location scouting in Sintra woods to find the right spot for their elopement – and as for the beaches, it was pretty easy. We knew exactly where to take them.

The day was fun, emotional, intimate and just so easy and beautiful.

It’s always a privilege and an honour when couples choose us to document their big day – but even more so when one is a fellow photographer 🙂
