| Ayça and Doruk: an Elopement in Lisbon |
Ayça and Doruk like Lisbon so much they chose it for their elopement a few years ago. They got married on a warm summer afternoon at the Turkish Embassy, then met me in town for their wedding photoshoot. We spent a couple of fun hours together wandering the streets of Lisbon’s historical center, taking photos at every nice spot we could find on the way. I loved this couple’s natural charm and friendliness, and I think Lisbon fitted them very well that day. Lines, textures, lights and shadows created such a beautiful harmony around them, and some of the pictures looked like paintings.
The day I finished editing this Lisbon Elopement, I showed the images to Romana. Her reaction was “How can I ever pick just a few images for the blog and Instagram? I LOVE them all.”
When I sent them the photos, Ayca’s and Doruk’s reaction was basically the same:
“Yaaaay, photos are sooo sooo beautiful! Awesome! Can’t wait to share them, the difficult thing is picking which one to share first:)”
Doruk also appreciated the fact that our photoshoot also served as a kind of photography walking tour allowing him to discover a part of Lisbon he hadn’t seen yet
“Thanks to you, we had the chance to tour the part of the city we couldn’t visit the previous days :)”
